Tracy has always loved stories – hearing them, creating them and telling them. She began her journey as a professional storyteller by visiting Head Start centers in Southern Appalachia. Since then, she has shared stories with people in many places – from the St. Louis Storytelling Festival to the Tale Spin Festival in Chattanooga, and lots of libraries, schools and festivals in between.
As the Youth Services Specialist at the Dawson County Public Library in Dawsonville, Georgia, Tracy shares her love of story with children and their families during storytimes. Her stories are often participatory and filled with an entire company of zany characters.
Tracy is certified to teach in Georgia and holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and an M.Ed.
