ar-cowboy-2008Alton has been a storyteller all his life.  At a very young age he used to tell friends of his parents how he knew Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, John Wayne and how they lived on a working ranch in Texas.  None true, but a great storyteller was discovered.  Alton tells to adults and children with a specialty in different costumes to fit the story theme.  Cowboys and The Mountain Man of pre-1840 are his favorites.  He has been known to show up at Halloween story times as the undertaker, and use his 7′ measurement stick to check out who will fit the casket.

Alton has traveled all over the country telling stories and having fun entertaining children of all ages. He has served as MC at Atlanta Braves games, and has told stories at schools, Country Clubs, businesses, and many private social events.

Alton has served as the ‘Camps, Events and Production Coordinator’ for the Georgia Royal Rangers, A Boys Ministry, speaking, storytelling and producing the annual Boys Camp with 800+ boys attending.  As the founder and leader of the Columbus Storytelling Cluster, he has helped it grow to over 20 attendees in just a few months. Alton is a member of the Southern Order of Storytellers, The Professional Storyteller and The National Storytelling Network
